Chemical Brothers, Tiësto, deadmau5 head Ultra Music Festival ’11

on December 15, 2010, 10:11am

The 2011 Ultra Music Festival has a tall task ahead: it must compete against not one, but two similar electro-oriented events in the same city during the same month. Hell, one’s even taking place the same day. So the Miami, FL based festival has tapped heavy guns like The Chemical Brothers, Tiësto, deadmau5, David Guetta, Carl Cox, and Empire of the Sun to head its 2011 version, which is set to take place from March 25-27. Indie heavyweights Cut Copy, Crystal Castles, Klaxons, !!!, Chromeo, and Royksoop are also playing, as are electro favorites MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize, Rusko, Simian Mobile Disco, Steve Aoki, and Wolfgang Gartner. There are also a couple unexpected surprises, such as Danish music producer Trentemøller and English synthpop duo Erasure, which consists of Andy Bell and former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke.

You can find the complete list of confirmed acts at our Festival Outlook. Even more names are expected to be announced in the near future. Advanced three-day passes ($179.95) and VIP combo packs ($499.95) are now available via the festival’s website.
