bonnaroo CoS Giveaway: Bonnaroo Blast off!

We’re about six months away, but it’s never too early to start talking about Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. In fact, odds are you started hyping this year’s event while driving out of Manchester, TN last June. We don’t blame you, either. It’s an exciting weekend, filled with mud, music, and maniacs. The air’s hot, but the buzz is something else. It’s almost as if you’re less of a human and more of a spiritual entity, haunting the park with sleep-deprived eyes and sweat-soaked clothing.

But this year’s even more special. It’s the festival’s 10th birthday.

Do you remember your 10th birthday? Your parents probably did something special. Maybe a sleep over with five of your friends? A dinosaur-themed cake? A ballgame with the family? A trip to Disney World? A subscription to Playboy? Wait–what? ANYWAYS, Bonnaroo’s celebrating in style this year. No details just yet, but expect something exceptional.

Since we’re sort of big on festivals and stuff, we’ll be helping Bonnaroo cap off its first decade. From now until June, we’ll be throwing a giveaway on the 10th of every month. Get it? Naturally, we’ll be offering our pair of tickets to one lucky reader, but that’s not all. We’ll also be putting together great goodies — DVDs, CDs, shirts, and posters — and some of them may even be autographed by former artists. You’ll just have to stay tuned.

This month, we have two prizes to give away:

  • Bonnaroo 2009 DVD w/ event poster
  • Bonnaroo 2008 DVD w/ event poster

Sound good? Neat. Considering this is the first of six giveaways, we’ll start off easy, but keep in mind these will only get more and more tedious. Well, maybe not so much tedious as more involving. Regardless, it’ll be fun.

To win one of the above, you’re going to have to be a Bonnaroo alumni; otherwise, you won’t be able to answer this question:

At your first Bonnaroo, what was the first thing you witnessed that made you say, “Wow, I’m actually here,” and why?
