Starring Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, Andrea Riseborough, and James DArcy, the film tells parallel stories of the early 20th century love affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, and the contemporary story of Wally Winthrop and her obsession with that relationship.
According to The Playlist, invitations are being sent out to select distributors and cinema owners for a private screening during the Berlin Film Festival. “As far as we know, she is presenting her latest film on the sidelines of the festival, a spokesman for the event told The New York Post, adding she has rented a cinema for a private screening at the European Film Market.
No date for the screening has been given, but local sources expect it to be set for the first weekend of the festival, which kicks off February 10th. Additionally, the production team is gearing up for an official premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
