Peter Murphy maps out spring tour

on February 02, 2011, 1:50pm

Okay, so that 100-date co-headlining tour with Brendan Perry fell through. . . hard. And whether appearing in a Twilight movie adds or subtracts credibility is debatable. Peter Murphy is still the Godfather of Goth, however. The former Brauhaus frontman will continue to cement that title on a brief tour through at least 13 dates across the US.

We say “at least,” because there hasn’t actually been an announcement yet. Instead, Slicing Up Eyeballs explored ticketing and venue websites to compile a preliminary list of dates. As it stands, Murphy will start up in Portland, OR before heading down the West Coast, through two Texas stops, one in New Orleans, and up from Florida to Pennsylvania. We’ll be sure to let you know if any other dates pop up or if/when the official announcement is released.

Check out the full, initial date list below. If you catch one of the shows, be ready to hear some of Murphy’s upcoming ninth studio album, aptly (lazily?) titled Ninth. Though in the can with no set release date, he has been testing the new tunes alongside classic tracks on recent tours, so expect it again here.
