311 2011 311 launches festival, tours with Sublime with Rome

Following the path of other summer touring favorites like Phish, the Disco Biscuits, and the Dave Matthews Band, 311 will be curating their very own festival in 2011. The band’s Pow Wow festival will take place between August 4th and 6th at Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, aka the home of both the Wanee and Bear Creek music festivals. The event will feature two stages and four 311 sets, including a performance of Transistor in its entirety. A complete list of acts has not yet been announced, but will roll out sometime in the next few weeks.

Along with the festival, 311 have plotted out dates for their annual “Unity Tour.” Featuring fellow frat-house favorites Sublime with Rome in support, the tour begins July 6th in Wichita, KS, and then sees the band run up the midwest with stops in St. Louis, MO, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI, Columbus, OH, and Cincinnati, OH After closing out July with performances across the northeast, 311 will make their way south on their way Pow Wow. They’ll then turn west for dates across Texas, Denver, Salt Lake, and hazy California before concluding August 27th with a yet-to-be announced performance somewhere in the Northwest.

The entirely itinerary can be found below, with a few dates remaining for TBA performances. A fan pre-sale begins March 23rd, and Pow Wow tickets can be secured via SeatGeek.com. Additional ticketing information can be found at 311.com.
