Apparat plans new album for late summer

on April 06, 2011, 4:20pm

Given the guy’s released a new album every year since 2006, it’s fair to conclude that German electronic musician Sascha Ring (aka Apparat) knows how to keep himself busy. From more traditional techno that you’d hear on a dance floor to ambient tunes aplenty, Apparat defies any expectations in range. Keeping with his typical pace, the artist will release yet another new album this summer. Surprised?

Under the British label Mute, the LP is said to venture into “new musical territory where prominent vocals, live instruments, beautiful crescendos and lulling diminuendos spearhead an epic sound,” which is essentially a testament to the diversity of Apparat’s music. At this time, there is currently no available title, tracklist, or artwork. However, Mute did issue the lead single, “Ash/Black Veil”, which you can stream below.

Ahead of the release, Apparat will be playing the European summer festival circuit. Find all confirmed dates below the stream.
