Jeniferever – "The Beat of Our Own Blood"

on April 06, 2011, 2:30pm

A Cluster 1 Premiere!

Art and history have always gone hand-in-hand. Through various mediums, artists can explore experiences that occurred in their lifetime and beyond with dramatic, inspiring effect. The tension and drama is certainly high in Jeniferever‘s video for “The Beat of Our Own Blood.” It tells the true story of an imprisoned man during World War II. Jack Dean managed to escape the coal mines of Silesia, Poland and ran for survival through the heart of Nazi Germany. While there are many close calls with German troops in the video, he finds refuge with innocent civilians who are against what they’re country was doing. As the song moves along, the animation beautifully shifts the landscape around, displaying both the atrocities of that war as well as the future of Europe.

Silesia is also the name of Jeniferever’s third album, due for release on April 19th on Monotreme Records.
