Last Night: Queens of the Stone Age, Bright Eyes hit late night

on April 15, 2011, 6:58am

Queens of the Stone Age capped off their month-long North American in support their reissued self-titled debut with an appearance on Conan last night. Josh Homme put away the vodka bottle for the occasion, but he and his bandmates kept the amps at max and delivered an absolutely pulsating version of “If Only”. Fair warning: in the event that you’re computer is up against the wall of your neighbors’ bedroom, you’ll want to grab some headphones. Rock out to the clip above via The Audio Perv.

Elsewhere, Bright Eyes hit Leno to play the second single off The People’s Key, “Beginner’s Mind”, and to make things a little less terrible for everyone (Tyler Perry was the guest, for the record). Conor Oberst decided to ditch the decorative dress shirt for a form-fitting jacket, but compared to the band’s recent performance on Letterman, not much else has changed. Oberst’s angsty facial expressions remain in top notch form and his supporting cast is tight as ever. Watch for yourself below, once again via The Audio Perv.
