Last Night: Wiz Khalifa performs a song that’s not “Black and Yellow” on Letterman

on April 12, 2011, 7:30am

“Black and Yellow” may be the hot single on his dashboard, but it’s always refreshing to hear Wiz Khalifa remind everyone that he actually knows more than one song. Last night, the Pittsburgh native stopped by Letterman to perform his latest single ”Roll Up” and smile an exorbitant amount. Why shouldn’t he? After all, his latest effort, Rolling Papers, debuted at number two on the Billboard charts. Rocking red sneakers and his signature fro-hawk-dyed-hair-thing, Khalifa performed the track with a minimal backing arrangement that consisted of only his hype man and DJ. In an honorable gesture, Khalifa offered Letterman a copy of his album, simply because he’s just that nice. Peep the performance above via The Audio Perv and check out Khalifa on the road, because it’s almost guaranteed that he’s coming somewhere close to you. Maybe he’ll hand you his album, too.
