Phish to release CD/DVD box set, Live In Utica

on April 15, 2011, 5:08pm

Phish have toured the nation for over 20 years, and amassed nearly 1,200 performances, but the jam-veterans continue to find new venues for their legendary live performances. On October 20, 2010, the four-piece played their first ever show at Utica, New York, (centralized in the Empire State) at the 5,500 capacity Utica Memorial Auditorium, and have decided to memorialize the three hour set with a brand new two-DVD/two-CD Box Set, Live In Utica.

The live discs are definitely audiophile-friendly, featuring nearly three hours of music recorded, mixed, and mastered with 64 channels of digital multi-track. The live footage was shot using eight cameras in 16:9 widescreen, then recorded and post-edited in High Definition. The DVDs are presented in 5.1 Dolby surround and full-resolution, uncompressed PCM stereo.

Live in Utica will be released May 17th, and is available for pre-order now at Phish Dry Goods. As reported by Jambase, fans who pre-order the album will receive Phish: I-90s, a free bonus CD compiled by Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro, and featuring archival material dating back to 1992. The collection highlights the band’s travels along the I-90 New York Thruway as they honed their skills during many of their great shows during the ’90s.

Below, you can find tracklists for all the discs, as well as all the band’s future tour dates.
