Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return to the limelight today to give four of their most spectacular albums the reissue treatment: 1994s Let Love In, 1996s Murder Ballads, 1997s The Boatmans Call, and 2001s No More Shall We Part. Each release will be shipped as a double-disc CD/DVD Collectors Editions containing the re-mastered stereo album, a new 5.1 surround mix, a specially commissioned short film made by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, plus B-sides from the singles, videos, and exclusive sleeve notes.
Pick up your jaws, and check this: we’re giving away all four of these Collectors Editions to one of you.
Prolific barely bruises the definition of Nick Cave’s four-decade career as a frontman for goth rockers The Birthday Party, sexually-bearded side-project Grinderman, and, of course, The Bad Seeds. In addition to being a veritable music pioneer, Cave moonlights as a playwright, novelist, and actor — he lives in language.
To score these four albums, all you have to do is tweet your favorite Nick Cave lyric (The Bad Seeds or otherwise) to our account at @coslive and we’ll pick our favorite one. Make sure you tag it with #CaveGiveaway, so we can track it.
Don’t have Twitter account? OK! Well post something on our Facebook Page so you can still be eligible.
The contest ends at midnight on Wednesday, May 18th, so get your life together and give us some of that juicy Cavean word sauce. Oh, and “There’s junk in my honey’s sack again” is taken, so find another one. Good luck!
