Stream: New albums from Gang Gang Dance, Booker T. Jones, The Cars

on May 04, 2011, 10:00am

Before you scroll up and down your music library again in exhausted disgust, here are three new album streams from Gang Gang Dance, Booker T. Jones, and The Cars. This is like a tidal bore of music coming your way. And so without further ado:

First for some beats. Check out the stream below of Gang Gang Dance’s latest album Eye Contact, due out May 10th via 4AD. This is GGD’s first album since 2008’s multi-faceted Saint Dymphna, and comes on just as strong, if not stronger. And ”MindKilla” has one of the most bangin’ breakdowns of the year.

All the way down where dry rub BBQ is the only way to have it, Memphis R&B icon Booker T. Jones teamed up with a grip of all-stars for his latest album. Lou Reed, Matt Berninger, Yim Yames, Biz Markie, and Sharon Jones all pepper The Road from Memphis, which you also can stream below (via TwentyFourBit). Jones’ album hits stores May 10th via Anti- Records.

Last, but most certainly not least, is Rick Ocaseck and The Cars. For their first album in 24 years, the new-wave pioneers are picking up right where they left off and mixing in some millennial dance vibes and some alt-rock overtones. Before it drops May 10th, stream Move Like This over at Rolling Stone.

And that about does it. Hike up your chinos and get streaming.
