Along with breaking the death of the world’s most wanted man and aiding in the launch of Charlie Sheen’s post-Two and a Half Men existence, Twitter has served as a useful tool for discovering some of music’s upcoming collaborations. We’re still waiting to hear the result of Modest Mouse and Big Boi’s efforts, but Pitchfork has video of another intriguing bedfellow — Brooklyn indie upstarts The Antlers and chillwave pioneer Neon Indian.
As first announced via @theantlers, The Antlers recently reimagined their CoS Top Star-earning LP Burst Apart by teaming up with Neon Indian for a performance of “Rolled Together”. As one might expect, the end result sees The Antler’s Peter Silbermans “lofty falsetto” accompanied by a stream of psychedelics, with Neon Indian’s glitchy electronics replacing the song’s horn accompaniment. Check out the video above.
