Foster the People announces fall tour

on June 02, 2011, 1:06pm

The L.A. trio of indie pop risers known as Foster the People have been riding high on the crest of the chirpiest song ever about youth shootings, “Pumped Up Kicks.” Their debut record, Torches, slid into a No. 8 spot on the Billboard charts, and their summer tour has essentially sold out across the States. Looking to keep their success rolling, the boys have already laid out plans for a fall tour.

Things will kick off for the band with shows in Scottsdale, AZ and Dallas, TX before they join the crowds at Austin City Limits. From there, they’ll traverse the Gulf via Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, and Orlando, FL before turning northward and heading into Canada through Toronto, ON. They’ll stick to the the North by bouncing through Columbus, OH Indianapolis, IN, and Fargo, ND and wind things down in Vancouver, BC and finally Portland, OR.

The band is also scheduled for damn-near every festival on the map, including Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, as well as plenty of radio station fests, like the KROQ Weenies Roast, Live 105’s BFD, and Boston’s WFNX Clambake. With all these options, if you want to see these guys and somehow miss them, you’re just doing it wrong. See their full 2011 itinerary below (new dates are italicized).
