School’s out for summer, folks – it’s June. High School graduations are taking place this week (I know this because I myself am dreading sitting through the absurd three hour ceremony for my little brother on Tuesday), final exam stress is at a minimum, and college towns are empty.
As a result, bedtimes are going to start becoming later per capita, which means more chances to catch the late night circuit. This week boasts a pretty solid lineup, and kicks off David Letterman’s “Drum Solo Week” including performances from house drummer Anton Fig and the legendary Neil Peart. So that will be something to look forward to. Other notable performers include smaller favorites Tinie Tempah and Friendly Fires, as well as heavy-hitters, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab For Cuite, and the usually elusive Mogwai.
Here’s your Late Night Lobotomy.
