Male Bonding returns with Endless Now

on June 09, 2011, 12:56pm

Sub Pop-signed fuzz rockers Male Bonding will return with their sophomore LP, Endless Now, on August 30th. The follow-up to Nothing Hurts, the band recorded the effort at Dreamland Recording Studio in Woodstock, NY and Headgear Recording in Brooklyn, NY with producer John Angello (Kurt Vile, Thurston Moore, Dinosaur Jr.) The end result spans 36 minutes and is said to feature “more guitars than ever before” as well as elements like the piano, cello, and the Mellotron.

“We wanted to push ourselves as much as possible, which is something we’ve always done, but we did it even more this time,” explains drummer Robin Silas Christian in an issued statement. “We used the studio as a tool much more, whereas I don’t feel that we did that last time.”

For an early taste, check out the album track “Bones” below. The band will support the release with a few UK and European shows this summer, with even more tour dates sure to come in the months ahead.
