“The Way You Do” is just a fun, colorful video, to put it simply. Director Michael Goldberg’s dedication to old cartoons adds a layer of animation to a 1950s diner scene, creating a 2011 version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? In an opening sequence inspired by Chuck Jones’ classic short, “High Note” notes literally jump into place on a sheet of music. The lyrics are reflected in a grill, sunglasses, and street signs. Meanwhile, Farrad interacts with the animation as much as possible. Whether it’s driving a car or jumping out of an airplane, he’s having the time of his life.
“The Way You Do” is the third and final single off Farrad’s debut album, The Time Is Now.
