“Perfectly Crystal” pays homage to a time when music videos were simplistic. Many years ago, it would be an artist, some color alterations, and a background that would either be a) psychedelic, b) political, or c) both. Here, that formula is revisited with Asobi Seksu singing over various textures ranging from broken glass, to rock formations, as the lighting and color are constantly shifting. Every now and then though, we are treated to a moment of clarity to reveal a stack of Marshall amps that would make any guitar nut drool.
