Mixing together two styles of animation is always a risk. There’s a chance that they’ll clash, creating a look that’s not visually intriguing. Fortunately, there are no such problems for Jesse Collett. With an environment made in Cinema 4D and a hand-drawn character, I Fall Down put the emphasis on our protagonist. The differing animation lets this frog stand out, but he still feels like part of the scenery. At least he does until the scenery shifts around him.
