cmj 11 flier 2 CoS unveils schedule for October Party

This Saturday, during the final day of CMJ 2011, Consequence of Sound will host an unofficial party at the Southpaw in Brooklyn. The bill is led by Brooklyn’s own Miniature Tigers, who will have just wrapped up recording their third studio album hours before hitting the stage, and San Francisco rock warriors The Stone Foxes. Joining them will be Mr. Dream, Is Tropical, Pujol, Arms, Nerves Junior, and Bosco Delrey. Today, we can unveil the evening’s schedule, and it looks something like this:

Upstairs:
08:45 – Is Tropical
09:45 – Arms
10:45 – The Stone Foxes
11:45 – Miniature Tigers

Downstairs:
09:15 – Bosco Delrey
10:15 – Nerves Junior
11:15 – Pujol
12:15 – Mr. Dream

Better yet, get there by 8 p.m. to enjoy a one-hour open bar, courtesy of Reyka Vodka.

And all this for $7 in advance, or $10 at the door (click here for tickets)… Pretty, pretty, pretty good if you ask us.

What’s more, we’ll be giving away a number of VIP passes to the event. Right now, our friends at MyFreeConcerts have five pairs of passes up for grabs, and if you stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook, you might also find other opportunities to win.

See you Saturday!

Also, don’t forget about our Friday event: the Heart Music Group, alongside yours truly and Dovecote Creative, will throw an official CMJ Showcase at Pianos. The lineup packs a slew of music’s brightest new talents, including Wise Blood, Evan Voytas, North Highlands, Supreme Cuts, Cities Aviv, R E A L M A G I C, Chrome Sparks, and one epic dance party with Hard Mix.
