With the exception of a Record Store Day single, New York City alt rockers Nada Surf have had a quiet 2011. Next year, however, will be a much different story. On January 24th, the band will release their seventh studio album, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, via Barsuk Records. Below, you can score a taste by downloading the album track “When I Was Young”.

In support of the release, Nada Surf have already mapped out tour dates on both sides of the Atlantic in early 2012. Their entire upcoming itinerary is mapped out below.
