In September, bizarro rock trio Primus released their first album in 12 years, Green Naugahyde. Following a fairly intense North American tour that wrapped up just days ago, Les Claypool and company continue to run the promotional gauntlet, hitting up last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Unveiling the album track “Lee Van Cleef”, the band made their way through a performance that was everything one might expect from the odd outfit: energetic, a little weird (maybe even borderline off-putting for some folks), and, of course, an affair filled with tons of funky bass. Plus, attribute it to the grand setting of ABC or just the band being the wily veterans they are, but the threesome demonstrated so succinctly just how much subtle punch they have.
