 Check Out: Van Halen Tattoo

As previously reported, Van Halen returns on February 7th with A Different Kind of Truth, the group’s first album with frontman David Lee Roth in over 26 years. Today, Roth & Co. unveiled the lead single, “Tattoo”, alongside its music video. Those expecting “Panama”-styled riffs will have to wait for the rest of the album. Instead, it’s a sluggish anthem, leaning on the side of a glorified B-side. Nothing to parade around, hardly something to spin on repeat. But, there’s something rather surreal about seeing Roth slinging out verses next to the brothers Van Halen again. Remember the last time he did this? Oh, beautiful time. Check out the video below, then peep the album’s recently unveiled tracklist, just prior to the massive tour itinerary shortly following.

A Different Kind of Truth hits stores on February 7th via Interscope. Pre-order?
