gbvletterman Video: Guided by Voices drop The Unsinkable Fats Domino on Letterman

Last night, Guided by Voices stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman to knock out a terse yet hawkish cut of “The Unsinkable Fats Domino”. In support of their new reunion record, Let’s Go Eat the Factory, Robert Pollard and the boys appeared in good spirits. It’s hard not to with all that gooey ’90s fuzz rock. While most of the patrons in the audience were likely scratching their heads at the aging rockers, some might have found respite from not having to hear Paul Shaffer’s fifth (or was it his sixth?) take on The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter”. Ha, and we thought Martin Scorcese loved that song too much. Catch the clip below, courtesy of The Audio Perv.

Let’s Go Eat the Factory is currently available digitally. Its physical release hits stores on January 17th.
