The people have spoken: The War on Drugs reigns supreme. After a paramount year for the Philadelphia troupe, 2012 looks to be no different. Dates with Sharon Van Etten? A few outings with White Rabbits? A television debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? All savory forthcoming feats – well, sort of. Last night, the latter occurred, where the band chopped out the hazy trailblazer “Baby Missiles” at New York’s 30 Rock. Harmonicas, acidic solos, and ?uestlove assisting on drums; needless to say, the group’s blend of sprawling rock and subtle shoegaze fit very well. Check it out for yourself below.

In related news, Secretly Canadian will release a 7″ single of “Come to the City” on January 24th, featuring the previously unreleased track, “Don’t Fear the Ghost”, which you can stream below.

Their album Slave Ambient is available now.
