Currently signed to Cantora Records (MGMT, Francis And The Lights), Brooklyn’s Slam Donahue have been making noise across the East coast with their boombox-recorded home demos. On March 28th, the trio will dish out a full-length mixtape, Big House Nice Dreams, which is highlighted by the buzzing, lo-fi single “No More Talking”.
At just over two-minutes, Keenan Mitchell’s toe-tapping percussion serves as the churning backdrop to the broken-speaker vocals of David Otto and the melodic bass lines of Thomas Sommerville. And even with the low budget recording process, the three deliver textured vocal harmonies to close the song. Stream it below.
According to a press release, Slam Donahue’s proper studio debut is slated for later this year.
