In recent months, TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek has remixed the likes of DOOM and Florence and the Machine. Adding to eclectic source material, Sitek recently reworked two tracks from Norah Jones‘ upcoming Danger Mouse-produced album, Little Broken Hearts, for a limited-edition Record Store Day 7″.
In Sitek’s hands, “After The Fall” and “She’s 22” both take on an air of sensual dub-pop, adding a layer of mystery to Jones’ usual vulnerability. The former sees Jones’ temptress-like vocals slowly melt into a mass of effects, all without forgoing any sex appeal. The latter spins Jones’ croon toward the realm of lo-fi, pairing it with a dark, menacing beat of eerie synths and heavy hi-hats. Stream both cuts below and/or download your own copies here.
