feist mastodon Check Out: Feist and Mastodons Record Store Day single

Record Store Day’s most unlikely split 7″ between Mastodon and Feist is now available for streaming below. Mastodon took it upon themselves to cover Feist’s “A Commotion” off her 2011 album Metals, and Feist returned the favor by working out a cover of Mastodon’s “Black Tongue” off their 2011 album The Hunter. As expected, Feist’s song gets a pretty Mastodon-y, and Mastodon’s song gets real Feisty. Stream both sides of the Feistodon 7″ below (via Listen Before You Buy).

Record Store Day is tomorrow, April 21st, and we asked 38 bands what they were going to try to nab this year. Check out the bands’ picks in our Record Store Guide for 2012.

Feist – “Black Tounge” (Mastodon cover)
