every mother counts cos Check Out: Eddie Vedder Skipping

As previously reported, Beck, Coldplay, U2’s Bono and The Edge, Lauryn Hill, and a number of other musicians appear on a new compilation benefiting the organization Every Mother Counts. You’ve already heard Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros’ “Mother” and Beck’s take on “Corrina, Corrina”. Now, check out Eddie Vedder’s contribution, a previously unreleased cut called “Skipping”. It’s a relief to hear him off the ukulele and back behind the guitar, and judging from this, he can still create a lullaby just fine. Stream it over at

Every Mother Counts is available exclusively at Starbucks from May 1-29th, and you can find the tracklist below. The organization is an advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally.
