Last year, Chicago’s annual punk extravaganza Riot Fest expanded to Philadelphia, and this year, it’ll also stage events in Brooklyn, Toronto, and Dallas.

The series of mini-festivals will kick off with the second annual Riot Fest East, set for July 19th at Philadelphia’s Festival Pier at Pen’s Landing. The lineup boasts Refused, The Promise Ring, OFF!, and Hirs, among others.

Riot Fest Brooklyn will follow on September 8th, bringing Descendents, Hot Water Music, Gogol Bordello, Screaming Females, The Bronx, and more to Williamsburg Park. The following day, Riot Fest Toronto will stage Descendents, Hot Water Music, Fucked Up, NOFX, and Andrew W.K. at Fort York: Garrison Commons. Then, on September 22nd, Riot Fest Dallas will welcome Descendents, The Gaslight Anthem, The Sword, Andrew W.K., and more to the Gexa Energy Pavilion.

Riot Fest’s 2012 endeavors will conclude in its longtime home of Chicago, starting at Congress Theatre on Friday, September 14th and continuing at Humboldt Park for the remainder of the weekend. As previously reported, the lineup promises Elvis Costello, Iggy and the Stooges, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Rise Against, Descendents, and The Offspring, among others.
