So The Flaming Lips want the Guinness Record for most shows in one day. And The Melvins are attempting to become the first band to tour the full United States in 51 days. Now, Canadian folk band The Burning Hell have announced their intentions to set the world record for the most shows in the most countries in 24 hours.

According to a press release (via Exclaim), the band will play 10 shows in 10 different countries. The trek begins in Aachen, Germany on July 6th at 7:00pm local time and ends in Šmartno, Slovenia 24 hours later. In between, they’ll make stops in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, and Italy. Check out the docket below.

However, as Jack White can attest, Guinness has rather specific stipulations for record attempts. In this particular feat, the organization requires the use of commercial flights and venues that fit at least 300 people. Consequently, The Burning Hell’s endeavor will not be under consideration for Guinness, though the band does plan to capture the experience for a DVD.

If you’re wondering, German musician Vincente Patiz currently holds the Guinness record for eight performances in as many countries.
