The Jesus Lizard haven’t performed together since December 31st, 2009, and don’t expect to see that change anytime soon. In an interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Daune Denison revealed that he ended their two-year long reunion after his band mates were not interested in recording a new album. “The reunion went so well, but personally I am tired of playing those songs and I don’t wanna play them anymore
I’d be perfectly fine with, ‘Let’s leave it at that, leave it on a good note, we’re all still friends.”
As reported yesterday, Denison is now back with Mike Patton and Tomahawk. The band plans to release its first album in six years next January, which will be supported by an as-yet-unannounced tour.
