In a new interview Much Music, Drake offered more details regarding the posthumous Aaliyah project. The recently released “Enough Said” is the first of 13 or 14 new Aaliyah songs that will appear on a full-length album, due later this year. Drake is working with producer Noah “40” Shebib on the project, and added that he also hopes to collaborate with “anybody who used to work with her, anyone who was essential to her career.”
And despite recent criticism from Aaliyah’s family, Drake said that “everybody from her family to her old management and label” signed off on the project. The album will be put out by Drake’s label OVO in conjunction with Blackground Records, which is operated by Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson.
