News came this morning that three members of the anonymous Russian feminist collective and punk band Pussy Riot were each sentenced to two years in prison for ”hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” after performing a “punk prayer” earlier this year at Moscow’s Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Following the verdict, the women of Pussy Riot released a new, awesome song, “Putin Lights Up the Fires”. The song premiered on The Guardian, who have edited a video montage cataloguing images and video of the inciting performance and the group’s supporters. Check out the song below.
