Brian Eno announces first solo album in seven years: LUX

Acclaimed musician and producer Brian Eno returns with LUX on November 13th via Warp. The album marks his first solo effort since 2005’s Another Day On Earth, and his third effort through the label following 2010’s Small Craft on a Milk Sea (with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams) and 2011’s Drums Between The Bells (with Rick Holland).

According to its press release, LUX is “one of Eno’s most ambitious works to date” spanning 76 minutes over 12 sections that evolved from artwork “housed in the Great Gallery of the Palace of Venaria in Turin, Italy.” Listeners can expect an expansion on Eno’s past efforts, specifically his “Music for Thinking” project that includes 1975’s Discreet Music and 1993’s Neroli.

The album will be available as a CD and download on November 13th, sporting four 120x120mm prints, and will surface on 180g vinyl, along with four 300x300mm prints, on December 11th.
