Back in July, Virgina trio Eternal Summers released their sophomore album, Correct Behavior. The album successfully amalgamated the group’s disparate dream-pop and post-punk influences into what they lovingly called dream-punk. In fact, album track “I Love You” is a prime example of that affectionate genre title, with all the energetic musicianship and spunky lyricism you’d expect from such a mashup.

Now, Eternal Summers are giving creative fans an opportunity to share in the love with a new music video contest. It’s pretty straightforward: create a music video for “I Love You.” And that’s pretty much the only requirement! Filmmakers can craft their clip in any way you see fit, and have open reign as far as content goes (personally, we’d love to see someone try to animate those jaguar-headed gymnasts).

The person behind the winning video will receive a signed album, a tote bag, a t-shirt, and their video immortalized on Eternal Summers’ forthcoming DVD. Entrants can deposit their clip at the contest’s Vimeo page before they head out trick-or-treating on the October 31st deadline. Watch a promo video introducing the contest and take a listen to “I Love You” via Spotify below, then wipe those lenses clean, dust off that boom-mic, and get filming!
