Similar to Chromatics, Desire — Johnny Jewel’s other other band featuring vocalist Megan Louise and percussionist Nat Walker — will include two new songs on Italians Do It Better’s forthcoming compilation After Dark II. While there’s still no solid release date, one of Desire’s two songs has surfaced “Tears from Heaven” doesn’t stray too far from Jewel’s typical formula. Louise and Chromatics frontwoman Ruth Radelet share many of the same vocal qualities only Jewel keeps the mood in strip malls and under far lighter conditions. There’s also a great breakdown at the end that breaks the monotonous rhythm, which would really work at any risky Halloween fiesta tonight. Check it out below in the Alberto Rossini-directed clip.

The 16-track compilation also features new music from Glass Candy, Symmetry, and a variety of other Jewel-related projects. According to the label’s blog, the five-years-in-the-making compilation will be available as a triple LP on gold-glittered vinyl. No word on a release date, but you can take this cryptic message to heart: “Coming Soon To A Theater Near You!”
