Here’s a stroll through Bummerville: New Jersey rockers Screaming Females have canceled their fall tour dates. According to a statement issued by their publicist:
Since falling ill with mononucleosis in May, Marissa [Paternoster] has been experiencing severe chronic pains that have rendered it very difficult for Screaming Females to tour. To ensure that Marissa has adequate time to heal so that Screaming Females can continue, it brings us great sadness to announce that all scheduled dates after October 10th will be cancelled. Thank you for understanding and we will see you all in the very near future.”
They’ll power through their remaining dates with Garbage, which should thrill Shirley Manson (see above), but everything after will get lost to the ether. This means sad panda faces for J Mascis (of Dinosaur Jr.) and fellow New Jersey pals Jeffrey Schroeck, Miranda Taylor, and J Nixon of Black Wine. The two acts were set to hit the road together all throughout November.
Consult the band’s non-existing itinerary below, and get pumped for Halloween with their recent video for “Leave It All Up to Me” shortly after.
