UK alt-rock stalwarts Placebo return today with a video supporting their new B3 EP. The wavy title track dials it back to the late ’90s, when modern rock radio strangled the airwaves one last time, and the video’s director Eric Epstein more or less works off that style. There’s a lot of dark, sleek, and macabre imagery that would pocket videos by KoRn or Filter; in other words, brooding folk in hoodies that do all sort of eccentricities that are supposed to spook us. It isn’t creepy by any means, but it’s bound to move some rocker out there. Watch it below.
B3 is now available digitally via Universal Music, and will surface as a limited edition physical CD on November 13th. The band plans to release their seventh full-length studio album, and proper follow-up to 2009’s Battle for the Sun, in 2013.
