Drake’s OVO partners with Warner Bros. Records

Drake’s label/merchandising brand October’s Very Own has inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records, Billboard reports. Few details are as-yet available, and an official announcement is expected to be made sometime tomorrow (December 5th).

Though signed to Def Jam Records, Drake and producer Noah “40” Shebib have utilized the OVO brand to premiere new music and videos, sell clothing, and put on the annual OVO Fest in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. Drake and OVO were also crucial in helping to break The Weeknd, who went on to sign with Universal Republic.

Warner Bros. has a similar deal with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group imprint, even though he is signed to Def Jam.
