As USA Today reports, outspoken rapper Lupe Fiasco was escorted off stage during his performance at the StartUp RockOn inauguration party in Washington, DC on Sunday night.

Lupe reportedly performed a 30-minute rendition of his anti-war song “Words I Never Said”, which includes the lyrics “Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist / Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit / That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either.” You’ll want to watch video of the performance below.

Organizers eventually asked Lupe to perform a different song and he refused, according to Politico, at which point security ushered him off stage.

In an issued statement, party organizers stressed that Lupe was not kicked off stage for an anti-Obama rant. “We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech. This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act.”
