Of all of the musical moments Bob’s Burgers has contributed to the cultural lexicon, and that list includes numbers like “Sacred Cow” and “Taffy Butt”, perhaps the most promising is “Bob’s Buskers”. Here, prominent musicians cover various songs from the show’s run, and are in turn animated into a video performing said tune at the Bob’s Burgers storefront.
First up is St. Vincent, who tackles a song from season two’s episode “Bad Tina”, where the eldest Belcher befriends the neighborhood bad girl Tammy. In a perfect reference to the plot, Ms. Clark unveils a punchy punk number drenched in fuzz and reverb, talking about the joys of being naughty while her cartoon representation shreds ferociously. Even the docile Tina joins in for a madcap mop solo, though sadly there’s no appearance by Gene. Watch it below (via Vulture).
p.s. We’d be remiss if we didn’t say that even the cartoon Annie Clark is a vision of loveliness.
