If you believe the rumors, Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories will be just as star-studded as the new albums from Queens of the Stone Age or Kid Cudi. Chic frontman Nile Rodgers, songwriter Paul Williams, Animal Collectives Panda Bear, Feist collaborator Chilly Gonzales, and disco legend Giorgio Moroder have all reportedly contributed to Daft Punk’s fourth studio album. So too has celebrated hip-hip producer Pharrell Williams, according to IAmMusic.TV.
IAmMusic.TV reports that Pharrell hit the studio with Daft Punk and Rodgers and “placed vocals on three of the albums tracks.” This morning, Rodgers seemed to confirm the report by tweeting a link to it on his Twitter account.
Pharrell and Daft Punk previously collaborated for The Neptunes’ 2010 song “Hypnotize U”, which you can revisit below.
Random Access Memories is due out May 21st through Columbia Records imprint Daft Life Limited.
