D’Banj is a Nigerian singer-songwriter who recently signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. “Scapegoat” is the first single off his next album, DKM (D’King’s Men), and he recruited Kanye for the official remix. Take a listen below.

In related news, there’s a Kanye West demo tape currently making the rounds, featuring material circa 2001. The collection includes early versions of “All Falls Down”, “Bring Me Down”, and “Jesus Walks”, as well as various freestyles and instrumentals. Download it here.

Also, below, check out a recently unearthed interview with Kanye. It was hosted by Minnesota radio station KDWB 101.3 in November 2010, just days prior to the infamous Matt Lauer interview which led Kanye to boycott all future media opportunities. He discussed the Taylor Swift incident, the Grammy Awards, and his desire to bring culture back to music. All and all, it’s a pretty fascinating watch.

Currently, Kanye is in Paris working on his long-awaited sixth solo album, the follow-up to 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He’s reported to have worked with everyone from Daft Punk and TNGHT to Chief Keef and Azealia Banks.
