Red Hot Dalai Lama

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been touring pretty much non-stop for the last year and a half, and have headlined (or are about to headline) every major music festival. Even if you didn’t want to, you probably saw the band perform at some point within the last 18 months.

In fact, not even the Dalai Lama will go without seeing the Peppers live. As Spinner points out, the band will perform a special concert for His Holiness during his visit to Maitripa College in Portland, Oregon on May 11th.

According to a press release:

The musical element of this event is intended to be a display of joyful celebration and an inspiration to future generations to care for our planet. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been great supporters of the Tibetan cause, of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and of the need to work to protect and preserve our environment.

Tickets to the concert are currently available.
