Looks like summer’s gonna have to wait a little longer: fast-rising Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ has pushed back his Summer Knights mixtape to July 1st. But as a musical mea culpa, Mr. Bada$$ has unveiled the second single in “’95 Til Infinity”.

Similar to “Word Is Bond”, the Lee Bannon-produced track harkens back to rap’s heyday of the early ’90s, with the harmonious vocal samples and slow-moving drums tailor-made for some sweaty block party circa ’92. Meanwhile, Bada$$ continues to prove himself as an increasingly-lethal lyrical dynamo, forcefully spitting lines like, “Peep the melody we on/But they don’t know the remedy to these songs/Basic necessities or how to be put on”.
