Surprise, surprise: Black Sabbath’s new single off 13, “God is Dead?”, receives an accompanying bleak, gothic video. Directed by Peter Joseph, the sprawling near-nine minute clip segues through haunting imagery, such as an abandoned Times Square, dilated eyeballs, ricocheting missiles, screaming children amidst war-like conditions, and Ozzy Osbourne singing. It feels more like concert visuals than an actual video — again, it’s almost nine minutes long — so if you’re looking for a storyline or anything, you’ll have to hit up Amazon and grab a couple DVDs of The Osbournes. Or not. Check it out below.
Sabbath’s first album in 35 years, 13, hits stores June 11th via Vertigo/Republic. Pre-orders are ongoing. In related news, we recently dissected their long, tumultuous discography, which you can read here.
