Listen to Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock remix Maximum Hedrum’s “Robosexual”

on July 23, 2013, 12:02pm

Maximum Hedrum is an electro-funk super group consisting of quite the unlikely cast: N.A.S.A’s Sam Spiegel (who produced Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Show Your Bones), Sepultura’s Derrick Green, and German musician and producer Harold Faltmeyer (who scored films like Beverly Hills Cop and Top Gun). If that’s not enough unique star power, the trio collaborated with George Clinton for their single “Keep In Touch”.

Here, on their uber sensual new single, appropriately titled “Robosexual”, the funky three-piece call on another big name for remixing purposes. Beastie Boys’ own Ad-Rock builds on the glitch, but still keeps the track slick and smooth, making even the most mechanical lines (“And if you want me, I’m ready to please, I know that you need that”) feel extra carnal.
