Listen to Fanfarlo’s new song, “Myth of Myself (A Ruse to Exploit Our Weaknesses)”

After laying low since last year’s Rooms Filled With Light, London folk-pop outfit Fanfarlo have returned with a brand new single called “Myth of Myself (A Ruse to Exploit Our Weaknesses)”. The track marks our first taste of their as-yet-untitled third album, which is due out sometime this fall. Staying true to their anthemic form, the band employs lush, robust instrumentation and quite the rousing chorus to create a sweeping, poignant pleaser.

On their website, the group shared a few words about the song:

“‘Myth of Myself’ is a rallying cry to (wo)man the barricades against the individual and all those who would have us believe this ruse. It is also the first song from our forthcoming third album, a record that in its own playfully serious / seriously playful way looks at human evolution and the weirdness of being this thing we call a person.”
