It’s almost been 20 years since Nirvana shocked the world with their third and final studio album, In Utero, so you know what that means: a trip to reissue city. Similar to their 2011 reissue of 1991’s Nevermind, fans can expect a bevy of goodies, including rarities, demos, interviews, etc. come September. And while no details have surfaced just yet, the Nirvana camp has teased its release with an old, rare commercial for the album starring comedian Bobcat Goldthwait as the band’s militant birthing instructor.

What makes this video all the more weird — aside from the fact that Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl shoot out baby dolls from their genitals — is the way its filmed and presented like those old Kellogg’s commercials that used to flood Nickelodeon. The old bizarro ’50s schtick, the bright nuclear colors, and the fast cuts — ah, this takes me back to simpler days of NES, Slurpees, and sleepovers. Anyways, wax nostalgic below, courtesy of Slicing Up Eyeballs.
